The Life Fitness Club Series+ Recumbent Bike is exceptionally well constructed and boasts a lifetime durability, making it a durable choice for home use.

With its self-generating feature and elegant step-thru design, this recumbent bike offers a seamless and effortless starting resistance..

That’s the good news.

With that being said, this bike doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to buy for a home gym. It’s one of the highest priced recumbent bikes marketed for home use with a price tag of between $5,000-$8,000, depending on the upper display features you choose.

The Life Fitness Club Series+ Recumbent Bike scored an 85 out of 100 on our Big Guy Ratings meter, which evaluates overall rating and value. It ranked toward the bottom half largely due to the extremely high price tag and rigid commercial construction.

This is a high-end, full commercial bike that people would usually find in health clubs or public gyms.

Consequently, the high MSRP is the amount of money that someone would need to spend when they purchase “commercial grade” exercise equipment.

These products are specifically designed for exceptional durability, capable of supporting individuals weighing up to 400 pounds. Constructed to withstand continuous and rigorous use, they are expected to maintain optimal performance in gym settings for approximately five years.

A health club puts about 10 times more wear and tear on their equipment compared to a residential setting.

So, why on earth would someone buy this bike for their home? Well, there are usually two main reasons: Either they’ve got a lot of extra cash to spare, or they’ve actually used this bad boy at the gym before and totally loved it.

The thing is, this bike might not be the best fit for most people in a home setup. We mean, it’s designed to be sturdy rather than comfy. The seat is going to be pretty hard, and you won’t have much wiggle room to adjust it either. Commercial exercise bikes are all about sitting down, pedaling, and then passing it on to the next person. Less parts moving means less chances of something breaking. It’s as simple as that, really.

We want to make sure to mention that Life Fitness products are really impressive. Have you used their products? They’re in like 90% of the health clubs in the USA! And let us tell you, they’re built like tanks. Super durable!

The Club Series Plus Recumbent bike offers effortless accessibility and features a self-generating power system. Moreover, it boasts user-friendly operation.

Although it is a commendable bike, there are much better options available for home use. Several other bikes offer greater adjustability, enhanced comfort, and are priced a lot more affordably than $5000.

We conducted this review not to criticize Life Fitness, but rather to provide our website and blog readers with an overview of available options and assist them in understanding the equipment they encounter in a gym.

Occasionally, customers visiting our retail stores express their dissatisfaction, stating, “I owned a high-quality commercial (bike or treadmill) that I invested approximately $700 in. Unfortunately, it malfunctioned after a mere 3 years of use within my residence.”

It’s highly doubtful that an exercise machine selling for under $1,000 is actually commercial grade.

Nordic Track even calls their products “commercial”, but they are only warrantied for home use, which is very misleading.
