Here we are again with another NordicTrack review, and once again, it’s not great.

Let’s get straight to the point.

Right out of the box, within the first few minutes of using this bike, a bolt snapped off the seat rail. It completely sheered off.

The seat track rail was actually built crooked, and three days after our review video, the flywheel started making a knocking noise from the interior bearings. The frustrating part was that we couldn’t claim any warranties because we couldn’t find the sales receipt. We purchased the item directly from NordicTrack.com, but somehow, we misplaced the receipt that was emailed to us. We spent two hours searching for the email, but couldn’t find it. We acknowledge our responsibility in losing the receipt, but it seems unreasonable that NordicTrack couldn’t locate our purchase using our serial number, name, and address. They informed us that they have no record of our sale, despite us buying directly from them. It was quite surprising.

Folks, make sure you do your homework and check online reviews before printing out your sales receipts. We should have saved the receipt better, but people have complaints about NordicTrack for reasons like this. Now we have to spend a few hundred bucks to fix it ourselves. Anyways, let’s move on to the bike review.

Alright, let’s assume everything went perfectly out of the box. Here’s our review.

First things first, this bike is huge. It measures a whopping 69 inches long, which is almost 2 feet longer than some other bikes. I mean, if it was a commercial bike, that would be understandable. But guess what? It’s not. Even though NT refers to their bikes as “commercial,” they’re really not. Can you believe it?

NT is able to use the term “commercial” for their bikes due to their product’s appearances in TV commercials and the approval of their attorneys.

However, it is important to note that their warranties explicitly state that their products are only warranted for residential use and not for any other purposes.

Despite the issues with their quality control and misleading marketing, let’s consider the NordicTrack R35 recumbent bike. Priced at $1,499, this heavy-duty bike offers a notable step-through design that benefits older users or those undergoing physical therapy. Additionally, the pedals are easily adjustable, enhancing user convenience.

If you desire a comprehensive experience and are willing to invest an additional $40 per month, Nordic Track offers a commendable smart display. Their incorporation of a large, vibrant screen allows for an engaging and interactive user interface.

However, hold on tight, because here’s the exciting part. Some fitness brands are taking it up a notch by integrating FTMS Bluetooth modules into their basic displays. What does this mean for you? It means you can grab your trusty tablet and dive into any interactive app your heart desires. Imagine the possibilities! Just head over to the Google Play Store or Apple Market, download your preferred app, and let the fitness adventure begin.

Check out the Recumbent Bike Comparison Chart under the “Program” tab for a comprehensive list of FTMS Bluetooth Compatible recumbent bikes. Get ready to take your fitness game to the next level! And guess what? You don’t have to shell out $40 a month because it’s absolutely free! How awesome is that? We’re absolutely loving it!

Hey, get this! Now you can pay for a basic display and enjoy unlimited access to EVERYTHING! No more being held hostage by fitness companies. Check it out, some companies even have an FTMS module in their upper display, so you can have a fully interactive experience with your own tablet. Your tablet, the one you already own, becomes your fully functional upper display! Pretty cool, huh?

Is this bike a “recommended buy”? Well, if you don’t have any issues or service requirements, and don’t mind the additional $600 annual fee for using the electronics, then it can be considered acceptable. However, when it comes to our review team members, it’s a definite no.

The seat is not very comfortable, and adjusting it is not easy. The water bottle holders are placed behind you, and the screen feels intrusive. We understand that Nordic Track is a successful company with a significant advertising budget, allowing them to downplay these issues. Additionally, they offer high commissions to their affiliates, resulting in biased reviews online. It’s important to recognize that this is a business, and finding honest reviews can be challenging.
