Life Fitness T3 Track Treadmill

$3,999

Made in Taiwan

Everyone knows this name brand.  Life Fitness is in 93% of the health clubs nationwide and their name is synonymous with quality.  A little disclaimer too, we have sold Life Fitness in our retail stores for almost 15 years so we are very familiar with not only the products but the company too.

We were very curious to see how the Life Fitness T3 Track Treadmill would compare to the other brands and once the results came in there were definitely a few surprises.  The biggest thing that popped off  the page to us was that the Life Fitness Treadmills were slow to accelerate (3rd slowest in testing) and had a greater amount of speed loss than all other treadmills but one.  This is quite bit surprising to us.  On a brighter side, the Life Fitness T3 Track Treadmill does have a really nice overall feel and the quality and look of the treadmill is exceptional.  This was one of our quieter treadmills tested and overall the feel of the suspension was really nice and soft, especially when you put 270lb person on the walking belt.  It is also evident the Life Fitness has superior manufacturing capabilities at their factories due to “fit and finish” of their treadmills.  Overall, other than the not so great speed and acceleration rating we do like the Life Fitness quite a bit.

Pros: High quality construction and engineering.  Long standing company name and reputation.  Really nice feeling treadmill suspension.  Great for bigger users.

Cons:  A bit of a concern for space under rear roller (child and pet safety) – great belt speed loss than most other treadmills.  We did not love the handlebar position for an average height user.  Good treadmill for $3729 but we expected some of the little things to be a bit better.  For someone under 180lbs the “cons” probably would not matter as much.
