Inspire Fitness Tread 3 Treadmill Review

Let me start off by saying that I am a big fan of Inspire Fitness.ย  They are legends in the specialty fitness industry and are the best in the business at making home gyms.ย  Inspire Fitness home gyms and functional trainers are hands down the best quality and value you will find.ย  When I found out that Inspire Fitness was coming out with a treadmill, I was honestly a bit surprised and excited.

ย Well, we finally got our hands on the Inspire Fitness T3 Folding Treadmill so here you go, enjoy the review.

My first thought is that I am surprised they launched a $1200 treadmill.ย  I would have assumed that Inspire, known for high-end multi gym (and functional trainers, would have also made a similar level of quality for their first crack at a treadmill.ย  I was not expecting a $1200 treadmill.ย  But hey, they have a proven track record, so I trust that Inspire knows what they are doing.

Getting right to the point, this is a good treadmill for the price.ย  Letโ€™s be real here, you canโ€™t expect a similar quality and feel between a $1200 and a ย $4000 treadmill, but is it worth the money?ย  Is this a treadmill that a 300lb person, on a limited budget should even consider buying?

My first impression as I step foot on the treadmill is that it is decent.ย  I do immediately notice a little bit of a lag coming from the motor / belt, which could be due in part to it being a brand-new machine.ย  Sometimes, a treadmill needs several hours to break in the wax under the belt.

The treadmill overall does feel stable.ย  It does not feel bouncy or shaky so that is a big plus.ย  I do like that there is adequate room for me to move around on the 20โ€ x 55โ€ walking belt.ย  I am not cramped or need to walk differently to stay on the belt.

One interesting design element of the Inspire Fitness T3 treadmill is that the handlebars are lower than most other machines.ย  For me, I kind of like it.ย  I like the openness of the design.ย  For older users, or taller people who need to hold on for balance, this could be a potential issue.ย  For shorter people, this could be a big plus.ย  Any 5โ€™ tall person knows the pain of getting on a treadmill at the gym.ย  You feel like you are being swallowed by the upper display.ย  This design is nice for shorter people because your view out into your room wonโ€™t be blocked.

I also like that there is a separate holder for your tablet.ย  The Inspire T3 Treadmill uses FTMS Bluetooth so you can download fitness apps and create an interactive experience.ย  If you have watched any of my other YouTube reviews, you know I am a big fan of FTMS Bluetooth.ย  You can use your own device as an electronics display for the treadmill.ย  This is great because then you are not stuck with a junk quality, embedded screen that will fail in a few years. You will also not be stuck paying a $40 a month fee to use the treadmill.ย  NOPE!ย  Good job Inspire on this one.

The Inspire Fitness T3 Treadmill is easy to fold and unfold.ย  It is quiet and overall feels nice for $1200.ย  The question is how well it will hold up over time.ย  $1200 is tough price point because how much quality can you really build into the machine.ย  Again, Inspire has a history of great quality so we will assume they will live up to the bar they set previously.

PROS: Made by a top-notch manufacturer with a history of quality.ย  Impressive price point.ย  Quiet and stable design.ย  Low height electronics, which could be good and bad depending on the user.

CONS: A little bit of a lag in the motor / belt speed with a heavier user.ย  This could go away as the machine breaks in.ย  The $1200 price point is both good and bad.ย  Will this hold up for a 300lb person?ย  We donโ€™t know yet. But for a lighter person who just wants to walk or jog lightly, this may be a perfect treadmill.ย  This is Inspire Fitnessโ€™s first attempt at a treadmill so we will need some time before we know the reliability.ย  While we may not yet recommend this for heavier users, it is safe to say this is a good, entry level treadmill and should be put on your list, if you are on a budget.
